| Comments: | I am the grandson of Cpl. Veno Conrad, Bennett, Iowa, 337th machine gun battalion, 1917. France. The year of his death, 1975, he gave me the cigarette lighter he carried with him in France. Its the only thing I have to remember him by, other than his many acts of kindness which I will never forget. If anybody has any pictures of him I'd sure be thankful for any and all I could download or copy. Veno was about 6'6" tall and stood well above most others. He was known to wear a white straw hat on occasion and the only picture I saw of him in France he had it on and stood about a foot taller than the other gentlemant he was with. |

Sgt John Hora was killed with the majority of the 350th Infantry casualties during a bombartment that hit a working party from F CO 12 Oct 1918. Done some research on him and the 350th Infantry.
